POWERTECH EMPLOYEES RAISE $39K FOR THE UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN

On Wednesday, March 9th, 2011, Roger Trip and Melissa Dudgeon accepted the United Way Ten Years of Excellence Award on behalf of the staff at Powertech.  This year is a milestone for Powertech, marking their 20th anniversary in fundraising for the United Way Campaign.

For the 2010 United Way Campaign, Powertech employees raised $19, 668.60, which was matched by Powertech’s corporate office for a grand total of $39,337.20.

Over the last ten years, Powertech has maintained a Gold Level standard for reaching 80 per cent of their payroll for one day – a goal set by the United Way. However, it was the continued support from employees, year after year, that helped Powertech achieve the United Way Ten Years of Excellence Award.

Roger and Melissa joined 800 other volunteers and donors to participate at the breakfast award ceremony at the Scotiabank & United Way Community Spirit Awards in Vancouver.
