DSATools™ User Group Meeting


Powertech is pleased to announce the 2017 DSATools™ user group meeting. This annual event provides a forum for Powertech and the DSATools™ users to discuss and exchange ideas for the development and applications of DSATools™ software. We will give an overview for Powertech’s latest software products, demonstrate their applications, and report on new and up-coming developments. There will be presentations made by our users on their applications and experiences in using DSATools™.

After the user group meeting, there will be a half-day tour to visit BC Hydro control center. The BC Hydro control center is about 42 km from the hotel. During the visit, BC Hydro will describe the reliability requirements for operation of the BC Hydro power system and the application of its on-line Voltage and Transient Security Assessment systems using DSATools™. This visit is open to all participants of the user group meeting, subject to security clearance by BC Hydro.

When: Thursday September 28 and Friday September 29, 2017. BC Hydro tour takes place Friday afternoon.

Where: Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel in Vancouver, BC, Canada

Who: Open to everyone including existing DSATools™ users as well as those interested in advanced software for power system planning and operation studies

Cost: Free! You will be responsible for your transportation and hotel expenses.
